(How amazing, I started when I was 10 years old!)
Great therapy changes lives. Amazing therapy changes systems. My mission isn’t to help people become “good” therapists, it’s to help them become exceptional. The kind who balance science with soul, who know their countertransference as fluently as their treatment plans, and who can hold space for human messiness without losing clinical precision.
I’m an eclectic therapist who believes in doing what works and doing it well. My roots are in DBT, Gottman Therapy and CBT, but my philosophy blends evidence-based care with heart-based leadership. Whether I’m in session, supervising, or building a new clinical system, my approach is always trauma-informed, research-grounded, and compassion-forward.
Since 2010, I’ve worked across nearly every layer of the mental health system – from emergency departments and hospital programs to corrections, community clinics, and private practice. I’ve been a Crisis Mental Health Consultant, run intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization programs, managed quality improvement/patient safety initiatives along with hospital units and supported children, youth, adults, and families through every imaginable storm.
Today, as the Founder and CEO of Talk Therapy Canada, I lead a nationwide team of clinicians who share one core belief: that therapy should be both clinically excellent and deeply human. I also designed our Intern Development Program, a full-scale learning management system with over 20 training modules, covering advanced CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care, countertransference, and the art of working with difficult clients, to name a bit of the content-all built to bridge the training gap identified while interviewing and speaking with new grads.
Before founding TTC, I held leadership roles at Trillium Health Partners and Unity Health (St. Joe’s), overseeing mental health emergency services, quality improvement, patient safety and clinical program development.
I’m a neurodivergent, BIPOC founder with a deep love for both data and humanity. I lead from the belief that systems can heal if we build them with compassion, creativity, and courage. My current passion project is Alula, an AI-powered therapist operating system that brings emotional intelligence and ethical integrity into digital care – because the future of therapy should be as soulful as it is smart.
When I’m not architecting systems or mentoring the next generation of mental health leaders, you’ll find me drinking collagen hot chocolate, writing about leadership, and laughing at my own jokes. (Someone has to
