Aisha Applewhaite

Founder, Clinic Director

The Canadian Psychotherapy Alliances founder, Aisha Applewhaite, launched her first business — The Harmonized Life — in 2015. Two years later, she shifted her therapeutic model and launched Living Hope Therapies.  After 5 years, she expanded her business model and founded the Canadian Psychotherapy Alliance (CPA).  CPA continues to grow to meet the changing needs of Canadians nationwide.

Terri Marques

Registered Social Worker

Terri has been providing clinical supervision, in both the healthcare system as well as in private practice, for the past 25-years. She listens carefully to the needs of her supervisees. She creates a safe and comfortable space for case consultation and case conceptualization. She adheres to clinical best practices and draws heavily from developmental, cognitive behavioural and systemic therapy models.

Richa Sharma

Registered Psychotherapist (Q)

Over the past three years, Richa has worked at Trillium Health Partners and Bellwood Health Services in a leadership and clinical capacity, supporting clients with depression, anxiety, trauma experiences, and eating disorders, establishing one of the first concurrent eating disorders programs in the province. Richa is passionate about quality of care and experience for patients when providing mental health and addiction services.

Stacey McDonald

Registered Psychotherapist (Q)

Stacey’s professional experience includes a Masters of Counseling and Psychology Degree from Yorkville University. Combined with 22 yrs working in Reintegration/Interventions for Correctional Services of Canada. She worked for a year with Addictions and Mental Health as a Recovery Worker. Stacey also runs her own private practice and works primarily with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, addictions, chronic illness/pain, and various forms of trauma.

Patrizia Zonta

Registered Social Worker

Patrizia (Patricia) is a Registered Social Worker/Psychotherapist and a University of Windsor graduate with a Master’s degree in Social Work. Over the past 11 years, she has worked in various mental health agencies and has experience in working with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, addictions, grief and loss, stress, anger and emotional regulation. For the past 10 years, she has experience working with Domestic Violence working in a Women’s Shelter.

Canadian Psychotherapy Alliance (CPA) is a group of independently contracted clinicians offering outpatient mental health services to individuals, couples, families and groups. CPA continues to grow to meet the changing needs of Canadians nationwide. At CPA, we strive to be Canada’s #1 Counselling Practice. Intern Therapists RP(q)

$100

Per therapeutic hour*

Interns have successfully finished all their coursework and are now under the direct supervision of the Canadian Psychotherapy Alliance Clinic Director as well as Field Supervisor from their learning institution while they complete their internship/practicum of 400+ hours

Qualifying Therapists RP(q)

$120

Per therapeutic hour*

In this category, RP(qualifying), have successfully finished all their coursework and internship/practicum of 400+ hours. They have graduated and are now completing their required hours for the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario for independent practice. These therapists have supervision of a highly skilled therapist

Therapists RP/RSW

$150

Per therapeutic hour*

Therapists are highly skilled and experienced. They practice independently and graduated, having successfully completed all requirements for full registration with their governing body, including a practicum. These Therapists are highly skilled and participate in ongoing professional development

Clinic Director HBA, HBSW, MSW, RSW

$200

Per therapeutic hour*

10+ years of experience in assessment and treatment of complex client presentations with specializations in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Mindfulness and Couple's Therapy, to name a few. The Clinic Director has held a variety of hospital leadership positions, combined with extensive experience in private practice as a clinician, mentor and supervisor.

Are your services covered by my insurance plan?

Most insurance plans cover the services of our clinicians (psychologists, registered social workers, and therapists) and we strongly suggest that you have this conversation with them or double check your benefits package before your first session.
